Wow...this is awesome...Hugo formerly of Valentine now a solo artist has a Journey tribute band on the side that he plays out for fun and practice. The band is EVOULTION..and as everyone knows if you're a Valentine/HUGO fan...he's vocals style is all about Steve Perry...one of his influences.

I bet he's a dead ringer while singing Journey songs. I hear Steve Perry all the time when I'm listening to Valentine/Hugo tunes.

This the same guy who used to sing for Open Skyz?? If so, then I saw them several years ago and the guy not only sounds like Perry, but he's a dead ringer for him in the looks department too, if I remember correctly.

Yes this guy is a real ringer for Steve Perry. Have all of his stuff too. Didn't Valentine come over here (uk) and play a show as part of the American Dream series of gigs. I want to most of the shows that actually happened - but then they cancelled the rest. I know The Bang Gang did a show as part of this.

Only a few of the American Dream shows happened, late in '91. Valentine is one that got cancelled, probably due to ticket sales. I had a ticket for that one but had to get a refund. It was a bit ambitious booking the Astoria for these shows. The Marquee was probably big enough. I think the only ones that happened were Tuff, Bang Tango and Danger Danger, if I remember rightly.
